At Hazel Tree House we believe that your cats' individual requirements are as important to us as they are to you. Our size means that we are small enough to ensure that your cats' needs are met with one-to-one care.

We have a newly refitted, climate controlled indoor cattery, where the air is changed 10 times per hour. Recently we have fitted a state of the art Air Purifier. It has stainless steel frontages to the units and is constructed with white melamine. The interlockable design provides greater flexibility allowing families of cats to share more than one unit. This type of cattery is particularly appreciated by shy or nervous cats where they quickly settle and enjoy their stay.

In addition. the design and location of the cattery ensures that once your cat has been introduced into their temporary home no sound of dogs barking can be heard. In addition calming music is played from Classic FM, making it as relaxing as being in your sitting room at home.

To make your cats' stay as stress-free as possible we ask that you provide your cat with bedding from home that has familiar smells. This will be laundered if necessary.

We regret that we are unable to board cats over the age of six months that have not been neutered.

Feeding

As we feel that changing your cats' usual food is likely to cause unnecessary stress, special care is taken to make certain that your cats' preferred dietary requirements are met. This is guaranteed along with any extra special wishes you may have.

Although we stock all major brands of food in the case of special items; treats, prescription foods etc we ask that you bring these with you, to prevent disappointment.

All cats are usually fed twice daily or in accordance with your instructions.

In the prevention of disease we only use the finest stainless steel bowls for feeding and drinking water. Bowls are removed for washing and sterilisation twice daily, offering additional protection against unwanted disease.
 

Grooming

All cats receive regular grooming and lots of fuss as a routine. Our long haired feline guests are groomed daily.

We cannot under any circumstances accept any cat that shows evidence of flea infestation and we will need to know the last date and type of flea treatment used.

Medication

Should your cat be on medication this will be administered as per your Veterinary Surgeon's instructions, the dates and times will also be logged in our Medication Diary. All dosages are double checked by the senior supervising staff member.

In the case of diabetic cats, urine tests can be made before an insulin injection is administered.

Please bring any medication in the original dispensing containers. This will eliminate any misunderstanding.

Vaccinations

Your cat must have been vaccinated against;

These must have be carried out at least 14 days prior to your cats' stay with us and an up-to-date certificate of vaccination is required. Occasionally, for welfare reasons it may not be possible to vaccinate certain cats', please feel free to discus this with us.
